Specifications & materials

Buyers often want to verify the exact construction behind our Gen 3, Gen 4, and Gen 5 paddles before quoting.

Is your T700 raw carbon genuine Toray, or T700-equivalent?

Our standard offering is T700-spec raw carbon fiber in 3K, 12K, and 18K weaves. If your brand requires genuine Toray-sourced T700 with material certificates, let us know in your inquiry — we can confirm availability, certification paperwork, and the lead time impact before you place an order.

What are the PP honeycomb core specs — density, cell size, wall thickness?

Our standard PP honeycomb cores use 8mm or 10mm cell sizes (the two most common in the industry). Core density and wall thickness are tuned to your target weight, thickness, and playing feel — send us your target spec and we will provide the matching technical datasheet. Density, cell size, and wall thickness are all customizable variables for OEM/ODM projects.

What are the differences between Gen 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 paddles?
  • Gen 1 — Cold-press construction with a separate glued edge guard. Affordable entry-level option.
  • Gen 2 — Thermoformed unibody body, with a glued edge strip for extra protection.
  • Gen 3 — EVA foam-injected perimeter wall replaces the edge guard: no glue line, larger sweet spot.
  • Gen 4 — Adds a foam layer in the throat area for better balance, more elastic feel, and larger sweet spot.
  • Gen 5 — EPP foam core with EVA perimeter: fastest rebound, crispest power, recyclable, holds shape long-term.

Not sure which fits your market? Tell us your target player level, price point, and performance priorities — our R&D team will recommend a construction and can build comparison samples.

EPP core vs. PP honeycomb core — which is better?

They serve different players:

  • PP honeycomb is harder, so it produces more power, and it is more cost-effective — the mainstream choice for most brands.
  • EPP foam is lighter, absorbs vibration better, never dents or deforms over years of play, and is recyclable — great for premium lines and eco-conscious positioning.

Both work with raw carbon faces and thermoformed construction. We can build both in the same shape so you can compare before committing.

Which variables can be customized?

Almost everything that affects performance and branding:

  • Core type and density (PP / EPP), foam density and injection pattern
  • Carbon layup and face material (T700, 3K / 12K / 18K, ceramic sand surface)
  • Thickness (14mm / 16mm), weight (225g ±5g standard), balance point, swing weight
  • Shape and mold (standard, elongated, hybrid, or a new custom mold)
  • Handle length, grip circumference, grip material and logo
  • Edge guard color, end cap, silicone band, graphics, and packaging
What is the difference between 14mm and 16mm paddles?

14mm gives more feel, quicker reactions, and better control — popular with all-court players. 16mm adds power, a softer dwell time, and a larger sweet spot — the common choice for beginner-to-intermediate players and power hitters. Custom thicknesses are available on request.

Do you stay within the legal surface-texture limits for USAP?

Yes. Both our raw carbon finish and ceramic sand infused surface are built to pass USAPA/IFP surface roughness and friction requirements. If your paddle is going through USAP testing, we supply the surface roughness / friction data as part of your submission package.

02

Pricing & MOQ

How MOQ works, what a unit price includes, and how custom costs are separated — the questions every first order raises.

What is your MOQ?

Our MOQ is 200 pcs per custom design. For prototypes and development samples, we work with much smaller quantities. If you are launching a first product and 200 pcs feels large, send us your plan — we can discuss options based on the construction and your timeline.

What is included in the unit price?

A typical OEM unit price covers the paddle built to the agreed specification (core, face, thickness, weight range, handle), standard packaging (PP bag + bubble bag + export carton), and standard quality checks. Custom logo, graphics, colors, paddle cover, retail box, mold fees, and design/setup fees are itemized separately, so you always know exactly what you are paying for.

Do you offer tiered pricing (100 / 300 / 500 / 1,000 pcs)?

Yes. Pricing steps down with quantity, and we provide quotes at your requested volumes (for example 100, 300, 500, and 1,000 pcs). Send us your full specification and target quantities — we will return a clean quotation table with everything itemized.

Can one order be split across several colors without a per-color MOQ?

In most cases, yes. Our MOQ applies to the design, not to each colorway. For example, a 300 pcs order split into 75 pcs × 4 colors is usually fine. Confirm the exact split when you request your quote and we will confirm it in writing before you order.

Are there mold fees or design/setup fees?

Using one of our existing shapes and molds means no mold fee. A fully custom shape requires a new mold — the mold fee is quoted separately, and we agree on mold ownership up front. Design/setup fees apply when we create custom graphics or prepress files, and are quoted before any work starts.

03

Samples & prototypes

Sample policy is the #1 topic in real inquiries — cost, timing, comparison builds, and pre-production approval.

How long do samples take?

About 10 days for existing constructions, and roughly 14 days when a full custom print, colors, and packaging are involved. Samples ship as soon as they pass inspection, and we always measure and report the actual weight, balance, and thickness of each sample.

Can I order several constructions to compare (e.g. A / B / C)?

Yes — this is exactly what we recommend for serious brands. For example: Sample A = raw carbon + PP honeycomb; Sample B = A + thermoformed unibody; Sample C = B + foam-injected perimeter. Tell us how many variants you want to compare and we will quote them together.

Can the first samples be plain (no graphics)?

Absolutely. Most brands start with plain black prototypes to evaluate performance before investing in cosmetics. Graphics, colors, and logos come later — we add them at the pre-production sample stage for approval.

Do you have existing samples similar to my spec I can try first?

Often yes. We hold a catalog of existing samples across Gen 3 / 4 / 5 constructions, raw carbon faces, and ceramic sand surfaces. Tell us your target spec and we will check whether a close match is available to ship immediately — a fast, low-cost way to evaluate our quality before custom samples.

How much do samples cost and are sample fees refundable?

Sample pricing depends on construction and options, and is quoted per project. In many cases sample fees are credited against the first bulk order — the exact policy is confirmed on your quotation. Shipping cost is quoted separately to your destination.

Will there be a pre-production sample before mass production?

Yes, always. After the construction is confirmed, we build a pre-production sample (PPS) with your final logo, graphics, colors, and packaging for your written approval before any bulk production starts. Nothing goes into mass production without your sign-off.

What testing data can you provide on prototypes?

We can report PBCoR, surface roughness / friction, rebound, balance point, swing weight, weight tolerance, and durability / consistency data on request. This is the same data brands typically need for USAP submission and for internal quality claims.

04

USAP / USA Pickleball certification

Certification questions come up in nearly every inquiry. Here is the honest, clear version.

Do you have USAP-approved paddles? Can you list the approved models?

As a factory we do not hold USAP approvals in our own name — approval belongs to the brand that submits the paddle, not to the manufacturer. That is why we never claim "USAP Approved" as a factory statement. What we do is build paddles to meet USAPA/IFP dimensional, surface, and performance standards, and support your brand through its own submission.

Who applies for USAP certification — the factory or the brand?

The brand applies, under its own brand and model name, through the official USA Pickleball equipment approval process. The factory's role is to supply compliant samples and the supporting test data. We cannot submit on your behalf; we make sure everything you need for your submission is correct.

Can you help with the USAP certification process?

Yes. We support you with: compliant samples built from your final production materials, test data (dimensions, surface roughness/friction, PBCoR and durability as required), and guidance on the typical timeline and sample requirements. Many of our OEM customers have completed USAP approval with this support.

How much does USAP certification cost and how long does it take?

Certification fees and timelines are set by USA Pickleball and the testing labs, not by us. Costs depend on the number of models and test scope; timelines typically run several weeks. Send us your model list and we will share our experience on realistic expectations — and note that the official fees are paid directly to USAP, with no service charge from us for the standard support.

Are certification samples made with the same materials as production?

Yes — that is a key principle. Certification samples are built on the same production line, same materials, and same construction as your mass-production paddles, so the tested paddle represents exactly what your customers receive.

What happens if a paddle fails testing?

USAP testing is itemized by test, so a failure on one attribute does not restart the whole process. We diagnose the issue, adjust the design or material with you, and rebuild samples for the failed test only. Additional lab fees (if any) are scoped before retesting, and we cover the paddle-side work.

05

Quality control

How we keep weight, balance, surface, and construction consistent from sample to mass production.

What does your QC process cover?

Every paddle passes checks on: finished weight, balance consistency, surface roughness/texture, paddle thickness, core bonding, thermoforming, foam injection, edge guard, printing/graphics, handle and grip, and a final inspection before packing. Key stages are recorded per batch so we can trace any issue back to its cause.

What weight tolerance can you hold?

Standard tolerance is 225g ±5g. For premium lines, our Precision Program holds each paddle within ±2-3g of target, with balance and swing-weight reports available. Most buyers targeting 220g, 8.0oz, or similar custom weights fall comfortably inside these programs.

What is your defect rate and defective-product policy?

We run final inspection to an industry-standard AQL plan before shipping. If defects slip through, we replace defective units or issue credit — the policy is confirmed in your order agreement. We keep batch records so any quality complaint can be investigated quickly.

Do you allow third-party factory inspection before shipment?

Yes. Third-party QC inspections before shipment are welcome and common with our customers. We coordinate factory access, samples, and records so your inspector can verify production freely.

How do you keep batch-to-batch consistency?

Same construction parameters, fixed SOPs, calibrated equipment, and per-batch records. Every production run is matched against the approved pre-production sample, and weight/balance/surface readings are logged so a new batch always matches the last one.

06

Capacity & lead time

MOQ, production speed, and how order size affects delivery — practical answers for planning.

What are your MOQ and production capacity?

MOQ is 200 pcs per design. Thermoformed paddle capacity is 80,000 pcs per month across our two production bases in Shenzhen, China and Vietnam, so scaling from 300 to 5,000 pcs is straightforward for us.

What are the production lead times?

Samples: about 10 days (14 days with full custom graphics). Bulk production: roughly 35 days for 2,000 pcs, scaled with order size — we give you a precise schedule with your quotation. Small first orders (hundreds of pcs) can often be produced faster; we will confirm per order.

Do you have OEM experience and ODM capability?

Yes. We are a factory with years of OEM/ODM experience serving paddle brands in North America, Europe, Asia, and beyond. ODM means we also handle design, R&D, material selection, and prototyping — many customers come with just an idea and a target price, and we develop the paddle with them.

Can you scale from a small first order to large volume later?

That is exactly how most of our partnerships start. We support small first productions (from 200 pcs) and grow with you — same construction, same QC standards, same contact person, and stable pricing as volumes increase.

07

Shipping & trade terms

Carton data, CBM, ports, and delivery options — including DDP for first-time importers.

Which trade terms do you support?

We quote EXW, FOB (Shenzhen or Vietnam), CIF, and DDP. DDP is popular with newer brands because we handle transport, customs clearance, and delivery to your door — the price is higher but the process is hands-off for you. Express (UPS / FedEx / DHL), air freight, and sea freight are all available.

What are the carton dimensions, quantity, and weight?

Standard export carton: 65 × 50 × 35 cm, 50 paddles per carton, about 12.5 kg gross. Custom retail boxes change these numbers — we always provide exact carton specs with your quotation.

Can you calculate CBM for my order size?

Yes. With standard cartons, 100 pcs ≈ 1 carton-equivalent range of ~0.11 CBM; 300 pcs ≈ ~0.33 CBM; 500 pcs ≈ ~0.55 CBM (excluding custom-box variance). Send us your quantity and packaging preference and we will provide exact CBM, carton count, and a recommended shipping plan.

Can you ship to the Philippines (Cebu), Canada, the US, or Amazon FBA?

Yes, all of them. We ship to Cebu and other Philippine ports, to Canada (retail-ready packaging included), across the US, and directly to Amazon FBA warehouses — including FBA labeling and pallet requirements when you share your shipment plan.

Can I use my own freight forwarder?

Of course. We are happy to work with your forwarder: we prepare the cargo, commercial documents, and arrange pickup under EXW or FOB, and your forwarder handles the rest. We also provide complete carton/CBM data so you can compare quotes fairly.

08

Company & partnership

What serious buyers verify before choosing a factory — and how we make that easy.

Can you send your company profile and factory information?

Yes — we are happy to share our company profile, factory address, year established, factory photos and videos, main production equipment, capacity overview, and export markets. Ask for our company kit by email and we will send it with your quotation.

Do you sign NDAs for custom product development?

Yes. For brands developing exclusive designs, we sign an NDA before sharing drawings, tooling details, or proprietary construction information. Your design stays yours.

Can I get an exclusive paddle developed only for my brand?

Yes — this is a core part of our ODM service. We can develop a custom mold, exclusive construction, and unique graphics so your paddle is not a generic model with your logo stamped on it. Mold ownership and exclusivity terms are agreed in writing before development starts.

What are your current export markets?

We export to North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Latin America. Our factories ship from both Shenzhen, China and Vietnam, which also gives flexibility for customers who need Vietnam-origin sourcing.

How do we start a project with you?

Simple: email us with your target market, player level, and any spec you have (face, core, thickness, weight, shape, MOQ). We respond with technical recommendations, a quotation, and available existing samples — then we build comparison samples so you can test before committing.
